MM Rules & Guidelines
(These rules are not official yet they must be voted on by the Founding Members)
FOUNDING MEMBERS: The Founding Members are Asphault Cowboy, Baron, Deathmaster, Prozac, Ragman, †Crypt Kicker†, and UncleCrispy. These members may not be voted out, they may only leave the clan voluntarily, this rule can not be altered.
TEAM LEADER ELECTIONS: There will be three Team Leaders, (Offensive, Defensive, and Suppression Leader positions) who will be elected at large from the membership of MM (recruits are not eligible). Each full member shall cast one vote for each leadership position. This vote will be a secret ballot on the MM Clan Voting Board. The poll will remain opened for 7 days and the results will be posted by the next regular MM meeting.
VOTES: All votes will be done on the MM Clan Voting Board in the form of a poll with each full member receiving one vote. The poll will remain opened for one week, ending at midnight a full seven days later and the results will be posted on all MM Boards by the next clan practice. Votes will need a simple majority (51%) to pass. To propose a vote simply post your proposal on the board for other members to review, and if anyone wishes to second the proposal they reply to the post saying "I second this proposal" or similar phrase. At this time the board moderator shall place a voting poll on the board. This system of voting will be used at all times unless specifically altered buy another rule (see REMOVAL VOTES, and AMENDMENTS TO RULES & GUIDELINES). Voting members for the purpose of this rule will be considered those full members who actually participate in the vote.
CONDUCT: The members of MM will at all times conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner. If you are on the receiving end of bad language, or behavior do not respond in kind. If it is during an OGL match get screen shots, and let your leaders deal with it. If you are in a non-league game ignore the abusive player(s) or leave the server that the abuse is occurring on.
CHEATING: Cheating, in any form, will not be tolerated in MM. Any member who is proved to be cheating will be removed from clan rosters without a vote. Founding Members will decide if there is enough evidence for removal of the accused member. THERE WILL BE NO APPEAL TO THIS DECISION.
TEAM KILLS: There is to be no deliberate team killing, this causes hard feelings amongst the members and will not be tolerated for any reason. Deliberate team killing will result in a warning for the first offense subsequent offenses will receive suspension of privileges (Voting, Practice, and League Participation) for a period of two weeks for each offense. And repeated offenses will result in a removal vote against the offender. Anyone having r-con on the server may and should kick a team killer immediately.
LEAGUE MATCHES: (a) No horseplay during pre-match, all members are expected to stand quietly and wait for the match to begin. This is our last chance to go over plans and strategies before the match begins so let your team leaders speak and don't tie up Roger Wilco with useless chatter. (b) NO public chat during a league match. OGL rules only allow the clan leaders to use public chat; violation will result in OGL sanctions against the clan. To prevent accidental use of this channel all clan members except the team leaders must disable their Y key in the TFC config.cfg file before participating in a league match. If you don't know how to do this ask someone before the day of the match. (c) Pay attention to your team leaders and do what they say, we can't win without discipline.
OBSCENE OR OFFENSIVE MATERIAL: No member of MM will use, or distribute for use by others, any sprays, decals, names, key-binds, or any other materials that are of an obscene or offensive nature. This includes but is not limited to names or key-binds that contain racially or sexually offensive phrases, pornographic sprays or decals, or blatantly insulting key-binds. The Founding Members of MM will determine what is considered obscene or offensive. Any member who is determined to have violated this rule will be given a chance to remove said material, if they refuse to remove the offensive material they will be removed from clan rosters. Repeated violations of this rule will also result in removal from clan rosters at the discretion of the Founding Members.
RECRUITMENT: All prospective members must be sponsored by a full member in order to be considered for membership in MM. Prospective members will be given a tryout, and then the members will vote on whether the prospect will be offered membership. This vote should be based on the prospects skills, ingenuity, and conduct during the tryout, and not on the basis of personal friendship. The prospect needs to receive a simple majority (51%) to be offered membership.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD: New recruits will serve a 30-day probationary period during which the recruit may be removed from the clan roster by a simple majority vote. Any full member may call for this vote, but any single member can only call for one removal vote against a particular recruit. Any violations of League or Clan Rules during Probation will call for an immediate Removal Vote. A Recruit will wear a lower case r after his Clan Tag (like this [MM]r Recruit Name) to show his status as a Recruit. After a successful probationary period a recruit will become a full member with all membership rights and privileges. Any Founding Member may veto a recruit at the end of the 30 days.
REMOVAL VOTES: Membership maybe revoked at any time by a 2/3's majority vote. Any full member may call for this vote under the normal guidelines, but any single member can only call for one removal vote against a particular member once within a three-month period. Abuse of this rule may result in a removal vote against the abuser.
CLAN PRACTICE: Regular clan practice will be held once a week, Friday nights at 8:00 pm EST. While attendance of practice is not mandatory, chronic failure to attend regular practice may result in a removal vote being initiated against the non-attending member. (Note: Please consider whether you want to have an alternative practice night in the middle of the week for those who can't make regular practice.)
BULLETIN BOARD POST: Post to the MM Bulletin Board will remain for 21 - 30 days before being removed to avoid excess clutter. The only exceptions to this time period will be blatantly obscene or threatening post. The moderator will remove these as soon as they are found.
AMENDMENTS TO RULES & GUIDELINES: Any full member may propose an amendment to these rules at any regular practice. The Proposed Amendment shall, be placed on the MM Clan Voting Board for other members to review, and if anyone wishes to second the Amendment they reply to the post saying "I second this amendment" or similar phrase. At this time the board moderator shall place a voting poll on the board which will remain for one week, as set out under the Voting Rules. For an amendment to pass it must receive 2/3's of the votes of all voting members. A unanimous vote by the Founding Members will overrule any amendment vote.
